I want to start cutting again sooooooo bad, because I just had a very traumatic experience (see it Survivor's of Abuse)... and my logic in cutting has always been "I've gotta hurt myself before anyone else can hurt me"

if you know the logic behind it then use logic to counteract it. talk about being kind and compassionate with yourself because nobody has probably done that either. when the urges come on, ask what you can do to take care of yourself instead. maybe a nice bubblebath, a funny movie, a pedicure...something nice and relaxing that promotes self care, love yourself like nobody else has. take care.
