has anyone else let someone harm them, like cut them. i let one of my exs do it a long time ago when I would self cut. she asked too, i agreed, she also wanted me to do it in front of her. it was interesting, anyone else have experience with this?

Although I have never been cut by someone else, I did once cut somebody who needed it at the time. They were detoxing from a pain addiction, and asked for my help.
The memory brings up a strange mixture of feelings, as did the event itself.
They were grateful for my help, but felt very guilty about the whole situation afterwards.

Another sad mixture of emotions come from knowing that I'd do it again if it was needed.
I loved, and still love, this person deeply. Though thankfully together we have overcome the need for cutting by finding other outlets for the emotions behind them.

Even so, strange days...

no.... don't think I could. part of it is me having control over it (the damage, if anything hurts, etc).
if someone else were to do it, it would have a completely different meaning and purpose.
Thanks for this!

I told a family member & they got angry & asked me to do it in front of them. When I refused, they asked if they could cut me to see how I react. I thought it was effed up but I guess it was their way of trying to understand...
For some reason now, I actually want to do it in front of that person...

I haven't hurt myself in probably 10 yrs. I just don't want to be found out. Now a days, if I'm feeling that way, I want someone else to do it in the form of a tattoo. It would be acceptable, and would also be a release for me.
