After a very stressful situation earlier in the week I cut for the first time in a year and a half. I'm trying not to turn this into a full-blown relapse. I think I can do it, I let a friend (who I had previously talked to about my history of self harm) know what was going on so I have support. It just, I look at the cuts and touch them and feel like an old friend has returned...

I'm sorry that you resorted to cutting during the stressful event. I think its so brave of you to involve others support and that was a great idea! I get that nostalgic feeling, but perhaps you can try focusing on the positive ways you've coped in the last year and a half and using that as a reminder that things can, and have been, better. *fingers crossed* You got this!
