I have been on here for less that day and I have read some of the posts that are on here and I look at myself and think "I've got no problems compared to what some of the others are going through". I feel sad because I can't really relate to many people here. My symptoms are mild by comparison. Are there others here that have milder cases that I can talk to. I am not a cutter, I'm a head basher I slam my head into walls and punch myself in the face. I have a lot of verbal abuse too I call myself stupid ****, dumb *** and generally mild statements. I am not in a mood right now and may not be for a while. I don't know if I have experienced enough situations for be a viable help.

Hi floridaman38

Thank you for introducing yourself to us.

Welcome to Psych Central.

This is a great place to be for online support.

There are a number of Forums here at Psych Central that you are free to browse around. Consider this like your personal Library. Nobody knows what you are looking at really. I could be busy reading Charlie Brown and the Chocolate Factory Book right now paging through the Chapter on Oompa Loompas and you wouldn’t know.

So don’t worry about what Books your Read. You are free to Browse all you like. If you feel like it, you are free to enter a Chapter in a Book in this Library that is available to you. You do this by Creating a Post. Research has shown that those who choose to actively Write gain more from their experience in online forums. You are free to choose whether you Browse or whether you Write a Chapter. If you write a Chapter, please anticipate a response to your Chapter that you have contributed towards our Magnificent Library. And in doing so you unconsciously help others Browse our Special Library too and provide members unknown Knowledge that we are not alone. There are so many just like us. We all have a different Chapter to write. Or a different Book to Read. But there are many of us here at Psych Central that keeps this Library of Knowledge alive. Thank you for being a part of this.

If you need any help or support navigating the site please feel free to contact one our Community Liaisons. We will be happy to help you.

May you find the comfort and support that you deserve.

Take care.

Welcome floridaman. Try not to compare yourself to other people; we are a group of friends and everyone is welcome to ask and to give support, whichever issues you have. I too think to have little issues compared to those of other members, but I feel very lived here however. Hope the same for you Welcome again.

Hi floridaman. We are all here for different reasons, if we weren't we wouldn't be able to learn from one another at all. Minor or major issues are always taken seriously by others going through similar situations, especially people with emotional issues like most of us.
Thanks for this!

thank you hooligan for the uplifting word, I believe that in time I will find just what I'm looking for. I have already met some since I posted and I've noticed that it's not what wrong or right with you it's what you know about it and can share. If you share then you can help no matter what. thanks again.

IowaFarmGal, I will eventually become comfortable with people. I just never knew about this site and it's kind of hard to grasp at the help sometimes. I will be myself and reach out and love all those who have problems, I have already made friends and began my journey to healing. thank you again

thank you gayleggg I know that I am in a growing phase right now and it is overwhelming at times to see people hurting like they are. I wish I could help them all but I know I can give my thoughts and hope that it is what they need to hear for healing. thank you for understanding.
