I have gone a few weeks without cutting. My brother saw my fresh healed cuts and scars on my wrist. I lied and said they were old and from a long time ago. I haven't cut since then but there have been many times where I wanted to cut my wrist so extremely bad and was so close to. I still SI sometimes but in other ways than cutting. Reason I haven't is because I don't want to get noticed again and create any more unwanted attention or have someone take it out of proportion but also I don't want to face my T's disappointment.

So anyways.. I've been feeling the need to compare my cutting to other people and that my cutting isn't even that bad compared to others. I guess I'm trying to find a reason to normalize or justify my cutting? I've taken pictures of my cutting and look at them all the time. I will assume that posting any kind of picture of SI will violate the forum's rules...

When I first started cutting no one ever asked what the marks are from. I wonder if people noticed & didn't care what happened. I know my cuts were visible. I always cut on my lower arm. It's usually my right arm I cut myself since I am left handed. At least your brother must care if he asked you about the cuts.
