I had to put my dog to sleep last night. The last week has been so stressful, watching him deteriorate and then seem to get better. I was his primary care giver and I was the one taking care of his wounds and doing everything I could to stop the bleeding every few hours. Then it just kept getting worse and I wasn't equipped to handle it any longer.
I couldn't stop crying. I cut my leg and now I'm calm. It's about 3:30am. I'm tired. I'm going to attempt to sleep. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk |

Hi Superheroine,
I'm so sorry for your loss ![]() You clearly cared about/loved him a lot, and while this may not help much at all...........try to take some comfort from the fact that you were there when he needed you most, and you gave him loving care right up to the end, you did everything you could for him ![]() Try to find some solace in the times you spent with him, the relationship you had with him, the fact you had him in your life..........and try to give yourself some of that kindness you clearly gave to him..........you so deserve that with everything you're going through ![]() Alison |

It's so so so hard to lose beloved pets. I'm sorry for your loss. Frankbtl pretty much said everything else I was going to say.
I've always taken comfort in this Winnie the Pooh quote when I'm going through a loss. I hope you can find some comfort in it as well. *hugs* "How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." --A. A. Milne |
