I went to my psychiatrist so she can prescribe me my anti-psychotic and she saw my hand and said "oh are those new wounds" it went dead silent.. It's not like I wouldn't have explained to her if she asked another way. I wasn't hiding them.. maybe if she asked something like "have you been self harming again?" I would've said something.. but this just ruined everything.. The atmosphere just went down..

I'm sorry you felt judged.

She didn't handle it right for you.

If you feel strongly maybe you can write down what you said here and give it to her, it may help her handle it better for you next time.

I hope it goes better next time.

Thanks for this!

Sorry that happened to you, do what you like next time, "Stick to the script or else! "

Just kidding. Those aren't anti-SH medicine, the visit flopped this time. There'll be next, if you still think you can work things out with the doctor, you can do better through assertiveness, maybe by something like setting a boundary.

The way you said it, writing this down asap might be in order, then you can decide what to do with it later on.

Take care.
Thanks for this!

It helped me with doctors to rehearse saying, "yes, I know. I'm seeing a therapist to help me stop." THat usually shut them up to know that I was seeing someone to work on other coping strategies.

I'm sorry your pdoc triggered you though. That does suck.
