So I told my therapist I cut about a month ago by text she said do I need to tdo you I was like no. Then she said will you call me and I said yes but wouldn't then cut and tell her. She doesnt say anything at all in session about it. Isnt that weird? Shes just been acting like it doesnt happen when I tell her all the time i have cut.

My therapist does the same thing. I asked him about it and he told me, albeit unhealthy, it is a coping mechanism. He said he'd rather me cut than take my life. You should ask her why she never brings it up or talks about it. She's the only one who can accurately answer your question.

My former T definitely saw it as a coping mechanism and was very much okay with me doing it so long as it didn't get out of hand. If it started to get out of hand then she would react but mostly she didn't make it an issue. I guess there was other stuff that was more pressing that she felt like we needed to address. I agree with So Leigheas tat only your T can answer your question. Only your T knows why she does what she does or doesn't do.
