Six weeks! You are amazing!! Because you are having urges, that doesn't make you a loser. Six weeks is a long time, but not a long time. Meaning: each minute of not cutting is horribly long; each minute is a victory; six weeks is wonderful. However, in the "big scheme of things" six weeks is not very far removed from an action that has helped you in the roughest times, been like a "friend" to you and is very addictive. Be patient, give yourself a break and be easy with you. You are doing wonderful.

When you first started to stop, what kind of things did you do to break the cycle and urges? Think about them, try them. There are good ideas in the stickies at the top of the forum. Keep posting here, support is here for you.

I hope you managed not to hurt yourself - I am trying to keep so busy that I have no time to think - I have just finished reading the stickies at the top of the page and they helped a bit - maybe you could take a look too - take care

((((((((((((((NOT A loser37))))))))))))))

How are you doing?

6 weeks is GREAT!! There is something to be said when dealing with an addiction - the first few days/weeks/months are the absolute hardest. You've gotten through the part that not many people can get through!

I know that reading through a bunch of posts when we want to SI is hard... but maybe you can put together your OWN list of things you can do instead of self-injuring? I like to play with my pets, take a nap, make myself something to eat/drink, watch a funny movie, or get out of the house (and away from all the sharp pointy things!)

You are worth it. Hold on. Even if you do mess up, it's not the end of the world. You're trying, and sometimes that's all we can do - honest.
