Is it just me or age?
Commercials are confusing, there was one called Drive Time, I had to google it to find out what they were about. Now there's one about blue cross blue shield, I don't understand the point. A woman who looks like the aliens are taking her up for an **** probe, her husband and kid running around hand her a blue cross blue sheild card and say, wow that was close? What? The blue coverage is so bad you die and go to heaven, or you don't get into heaven without blue cross or don't get taken by alians without your blue cross? There's another blue cross one that is equally confusing.

I've always thought most commercials were stupid but they usually had some logic, so I'm I just out of the loop or are they getting worse?

Ha... ha... ha... I know what you mean! Sometimes my wife & I just look at each other & shake our heads. I'm not much on pop culture. So I always presume there's something in the commercial related to pop culture I'm just not aware of. Or... maybe it's true that commercials are just plain getting dumber!
Thanks for this!

I used to switch over to another spot as soon as a funeral insurance commercial came on. Now??? I'm not so quick...

Its true. They are confusing. If I see a new commercial, I ask myself, what are they selling? Often, I cannot figure it out until the end of the commercial.
Geico has had commercials with cavemen that to me are really dumb. Even after seeing it several times, it makes no sense.

Lots of advertising dollars are wasted on bad commercials. Definitely not you.

They're definitely getting worse, and more offensive. My man and I mute the TV while commercials are on.

I agree too.
I think these crude commercials are made for our evolving children and grandkids .. who don't seem to know how to speak or write simple English anymore.
Its a sign of new times ..
I, for one don't like it but, it's not in our control.
The future is theirs .. we had our moment.
Thanks for this!

I cannot STAND commercials or tv shows with people puking. How does this help sell a product?? And i usually watch tv with earphones on, so that sound is right in my ear. They are starting to back off on the labor pains screaming, every actress and her sister has done this now i think. Again, how is this entertainment? I get mad enough when they cheap out and play songs instead of writing dialogue - wth people?!

I was told that by an instructor in an advertising class. He had an actual percentage though.
