As a senior I want to do things that help me to feel better. Go out! Do my hobbys. Feel supported.

I can understand that. I love to quilt but can't seem to motivate myself into working on anything. One thing is that it is an expensive hobby and I'm short on funds. But I do read and do some digital photography when I find the motivation. It's an endless cycle.

Best wishes,
Gayle

Oh I did not think quilting was expensive. I have a little interest but if it is expensive then I am going to do stained glass.

Two things would make me feel better, losing weight and getting out of my apartment....yet I can't seem to do either.

This week I walked 3 X at 6 am. I could not have done it without taking music along. My depression persists. I thought I would try walking again since the weather is nice at 6 am. I want to feel better too.

In my situation I know getting a part time job will help. I had one with Shop Rite but reluctantly quit because my girlfriend did not like my working weekends at times. She unexpectedly died. I now have too much free time on my hands. I have applied online again for my job at Shoprite and also for other part time jobs.

So very sorry to learn of your loss. Grief and loneliness are quite a burden. I hope you are able to draw on good memories to comfort you in the days ahead. Good luck getting work.
