I feel as though I've gone from age 30 to age 64 in a heartbeat. Anyone else feel this way?

Time does fly, though I was actually just thinking about this today - I was thinking of my childhood and how those memories feel like it was so long ago. It feels like the last 30 years of my life have been long. Yet, in the blink of an eye, I'm in my 40's.

Well... I'm pushing 70! And I must say I'm torn. There's a part of me that wonders where it all went. Then there's another part that just wishes whatever's left of it would just hurry up & zip by...

I suppose life will keep passing before my eyes faster and faster until it flashes by at the end. Maybe by that time I will have learned what this round was trying to teach me.

Yes, I feel like that. It seems to me that time has flown by so quickly it's frightening. I try not to dwell on it, or I'd be terribly depressed.
Thanks for this!

My German shepherd's 13 & we've had her since she was a puppy. Her hips are giving up on her...13 is old for a big dog. In a microcosm, the lives of our beloved pets are much like our own...we watch them change like the seasons. It's all a process. Our pets teach us valuable life-lessons because their lives are so short relative to our own.

I'm 64 also when in elementary school we all thought the year2000 would never come and now it's 18 years past that.

Me too...I remember that movie "2001: A Space Odyssey", and I wondered how all of use could live to the year 2001, LOL!! Now that was 16 years ago, almost 17 now. And when I was 12 or 13, I thought a 16 year old was "old".

I can't believe I'll be 60 in a few years. I don't feel it. I feel like I went from being in my 20's or teens to late 50's in a heartbeat.

I remember reading Orwell's "1984" before 1984. Seemed a ways away.

How about the musician Prince? "Tonight we're gonna party like it's 1999!"
