Hi,
I am in a predicament, I have not put anything in writing for my health care power of attorney, nor my will in place. I am the youngest in my family and the relationship within my family is enstranged. But I have no family or relatives that are younger than me to appoint as an executor. Plus I have no close friends either! I am overridden with anxiety and depression about this because I know this is something I must do. Anyone have any suggestions of any kind!! |

You can use a bank official or an attorney to be the executor of your will. See link to article in the Huffington Post:
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...WsKF-ZD5dAB4d7 Most likely I will be in the same boat as you since my husband is older than I am and we don't have children. I understand your angst. Keep digging around and you'll find answers. I have everything lined out except who will be my medical power of attorney if my husband goes before I do. I'll figure that part if/when that happens but I have a good friend in mind who is willing provided she is still around when I go :-) |

i am very low income, so i can call on the Adult Protective Services division of the Health and Human Services Department (social services) to ensure my medical durable will is executed and my property handed over to (i'm seriously considering willing the real property to my church) whoever. i am dithering over the will, too, cause hey, i'll be dead and they can't make me suffer anymore~
