What do you like to do with your time? Why do you enjoy it?

I have started using pencils to color mandalas. I am not an artist so trying my hand at any sort of painting is frustrating. Choosing a design and colors, plus the tactile sensation of scribbling is soothing to me. Sometimes I feel like I’m wasting time. I’m trying to teach myself that enjoying something for it’s own sake is a worthwhile endeavor.

I like to color, too, but I haven't done it lately.

I mainly read, write, and watch TV these days, I also do some of the word puzzles, and crossword puzzles in the newspaper.

I have also worked on jigsaw puzzles.

Well, I am now into flowers and plants. I planted some honeysuckle vines yesterday. I love the smell of them. I just need to keep them under control!

And my mint plants are finally perking up. I bought them from eBay and they looked really pitiful when I first opened the package. But I've been babying them and some of them are putting out new leaves.

Anybody else into gardening besides Wing?

My wife's the gardener in our household. I have a brown thumb. Everything I try to grow turns brown & dies. Actually, though, we don't either of us do much of anything in the way of gardening anymore because we live in a townhome. So we have no place for a garden. My wife puts a few pots out on the patio for the summer.

My own favorite pastime is watching the BBC mysteries they show on our local PBS TV station... "Unforgotten", "Vera", "Shetland", etc. I do some home bread baking as well. But nowadays this feels as much or more like work than it does pleasure.

We have a dog we both love (& have since we adopted him some 14 years ago.) But he's getting so old & frail at this point that about all he does is sleep... & eat when we can find something he'll eat. That's about it for me. I used to like to read. But I don't have any enthusiasm for it anymore. I just read posts here on PC.

I too spend a good deal of time with the shows (& their ilk) skeezyks mentions
I do have a garden but am not harvesting the herbs as often as I could, tomatoes are coming, the rest are flowers...I do a bit of weeding, nothing major
I knit and may or may not actually make something. I'd love to find the right dog, ...and someone to talk with who I feel comfortable with...ah well I suppose it could happen...
I was an avid, relentless reader and that has faded...my head goes in too many directions and it is harder to settle down with anything----I think the shows are helpful because they involve all senses and take you away to another place...not just characters but landscapes...

It's interesting to see this thread because I am bored right now and looking for something to do besides clean the house! Technically, I am on the remote work clock, but I have everything caught up. I have taken a couple of walks today. Thinking about hiking a little. We had a heck of a thunderstorm a bit ago, so it's not too terribly hot, and the mountains have a little cloud cover. I am expecting a call but haven't heard a peep on that end either...this is when living alone, away from family, with no friends in town is a challenge. I need a new hobby. I am an avid reader, genealogist, cook, metaphysical researcher/student but I can't get into any of that today. I too like to color some of the adult coloring books, especially on sacred geometry and energy medicine. I feel like I should do something physical now though...have gained some weight over those months at home! And we need this pandemic to end so I can go visit my granddaughter!!
