when my kids were preschool, & just 13mo. apart, I'd gone outside to get something and when I came back in they were sitting on the floor carefully stirring a mix of eggs, flour and who knows what on the floor, when they heard me my son asked "Mom, would you get us a bowl, we couldn't reach"

I love to garden. The kids planted giant sunflower seeds with me and that summer we had a sunflower “room”. They grew tall around three sides and the kids played in it all summer.

A sunflower "house" sounds like lots of fun!
I remember making little tents by sticking my bedspread into slots on the headboard or covering a table with a spread that hung way down on all sides. That was fun! |

I used to go to summer camp in the woods for a week. There was a long hill that was clay and there was a huge clay mud pool at the end. We used to slide down the hill and splash into the pit. Covered with slippery clay, we’d scramble back up the hill to do it again.

Oh yes! easter baskets....can almost smell and see the sweets and colors
I have a vivid memory of walking at night in the city with my parents during a beautiful winter snow after a visit to an elderly couple...I don't know why it has stuck forever in my head, or why it is so 'sweet' to me. __________________ "...don't say Home / the bones of that word mend slowly...' marie harris |

Favorite memory---taking my daughter to her first concert...(Wallflowers with The Jayhawks opening---) & watching her love it and dance... __________________ "...don't say Home / the bones of that word mend slowly...' marie harris |

Going camping with my best friend and her family during the summers. What fun! And she had a "real" family, not like mine. I felt so safe and happy with them.

Making a tent out of blankets and the clothes line. You had to use blankets because it stayed cooler than sheets. Sleeping bags worked great.
