I'm now working on my second book, while folks are reviewing my first. This one is more of a cozy mystery, with a less complicated plot, I hope.
And I'm gradually reading through the boxes and boxes and shelves and shelves of books I have accumulated over the years. |

Ha, that bit about finally quiting a book if it's boring or tedious is me too. I also learned that it's better to re-read old favorites before working my way though a book I don't like. I've also learned not to clean my plate! Sort of now that I'm old I don't eat what I hate.
Instead of re-reading what I have I went to Walmart and bought books. Once I get my new iPad I'm going to finally take the plunge and get a book option. Which one I'm not sure. Leaning towards google books. __________________ Nammu …Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. I have kindle but can’t do half of what the program does. Plus it is really hard to go through the actual amazon site to get a book. BUT they have bazillions of free books.
My sweetie grandson picked a flower and gave it to me! First time! |

A flower? How sweet.
I actually received thank you notes from my sons for their birthday presents. I was pleasantly surprised. |

My daughter made extra cookie dough to freeze so I could bake cookies whenever I want. |

I got a wild berry pie and my daughter and grandkids made and held up signs outside for us. Then they sat outside on the deck while we sat inside and talked though the door.

Picture of the roses? I'll see if my husband can. I'm clueless when it comes to those things. The purple vase that came along with the roses couldn't hold even one other one.
I hope to not eat for three hours before I go to bed to see if my new sleep medicine works. I keep forgetting and snack before settling in. I'll let you all know if I'm successful. |

My son lives a few doors down from the house I used to own & sometimes still gets mail addressed to me (a last name not common in the area, and his gf has the same first name as me)----so. Yesterday, as I was feeling old and forgotten and like no one would ever really want to see me blah blah blah, my son called and read a card written to me from someone I went to school with a lifetime ago---and what a NICE card --memories--& now I am waiting for it to be forwarded. wow...

Most of my childhood friends had kids young---I just didn't get pregnant till I was in my 30's for no apparent reason & the timing was ridiculously good for someone who had been infertile many years...Brag On!
Cute kid, I remember giving those baths....lol __________________ "...don't say Home / the bones of that word mend slowly...' marie harris |

Great news, Sarah.
I hope sometime before I kick the bucket that I can brag about a grandchild! I was 35 when my first child was born, and my sons seem to be waiting until they're in their thirties before they marry, if they ever do. |
