Agree! Aging is hard enough as it is without metabolic problems. Losing weight before was probably easier as I was in my 40’s, which is when I started having metabolic issues. And hormonal changes. Sigh…. I really need to lose inches more than weight. And I mean inches around my gut so I can wear my favorite clothes again. The one pair of jeans that fit me are so worn out now.

I'm trying to cut down on the junk food, and I don't drink, vape, or use tanning beds. And I'm trying to get up from my recliner more often. Watch me get done in by a runaway garbage truck or some sort of thing! (I'm sad when an old person gets killed in a wreck or falls or such.)

As a kid it was one of my favorite cereals! Nothing about dangers in those days but maybe it just wasn’t known then. If so I’m sure my parents wouldn’t have bought it. I loved all the sugary cereals: Apple Jacks, Frosted Flakes, Cocoa Puffs, Fruit Loops….I couldn’t eat that stuff now. Have to watch the blood sugar.

I used to chew gum but years ago I developed a TMJ problem so had to stop. And since I got out of the habit, I haven't gone back to it. The flavor doesn't last long anyway.
