I do, but it's over an hour after I take my thyroid med. I hope that's okay!

Over the last month in my neighborhood, Hondas mainly have had their air bags removed after the driver-side windows were smashed open. Apparently the air bags on those cars are easily removed...

Are air bags expensive? There must be a market for buying them.

Not sure if you are trying to buy or sell. This is a very high tech device and would be difficult to remove and sell. Also each model car may require different ones. @CANDC __________________ Super Moderator Community Support Team "Things Take Time" |

Honda everything is coveted by scumbags. I keep telling my husband to be more cautious about his Honda, which he adores.
Funny thing, though. One night my husband couldn't sleep so he was sitting on his porch (summer night) on a chair in the dark. Just sitting there, quietly, around 2 a.m. So my husband sees a young man approach the Honda, parked in the driveway. David watched the guy snooping around the car, looking in the windows. David waited. The guy kept looking around the car. David waited. Then he stood up suddenly and rushed toward the car, yelling and waving his arms. The stupid potential thief must have about pooped his pants with fear. He took off running down the street. I told David that was a good one __________________ |

Sneaky Depression Triggers
Guess I need to find some classical music. There's a radio station that only plays that, and I might find some on my TV music channels...... Also, grief is an issue with me. |

And the assumptions they make: Use tech to connect with distant friends. Well I don't have any friends and I don't have the tech to do stupid Zoom or Facetime. It was like when the stupid senior center told us to pick 5 people in our lives to check in with during COVID lockdowns. I don't even have ONE person to check in with. And all those virtual classes and all those young people they keep hiring, who can't relate to us no matter how many degrees they have. Classical music is relaxing and so is jazz. There's a classical station I listen to, mostly because it has FEW COMMERCIALS. And little holiday talk. I don't listen to it all the time though. Grief is certainly as issue for me, and I've ran that therapy thing into the ground. They imply it's easy to get help. It isn't, especially if you're grieving. I've done it. __________________ Call me "owl" for short! Hmmm....looks like some good tips in here. "Okay, enough photos. I'm a very BUSY Business Kitty, so make an appointment next time." |

The music thing is a good example. If you don't like it, then you don't listen to it. Don't do it just cause they say so. Who are they? I like CLASSIC ROCK better. It brings back good memories. I was thinking how our culture in general seems to oversimplify things. Want better sleep? Follow these 5 easy steps. Want to lose weight? See our 10 tips to follow. Oh, dear Trav. They also keep telling us what we seniors are supposed to be eating too. I don't like beans and won't eat them. __________________ Call me "owl" for short! Hmmm....looks like some good tips in here. Police Just Issued New Warnings About Avoiding Package Theft (and Other Holiday Scams)
We have finally gotten a security system, complete with camera and a doorbell that rings when someone comes on the front porch. Plus we have dogs that bark when someone comes up in the yard. And someone's home most of the time. I've received almost all of my Christmas-related packages, and so far so good. This kind of theft particularly makes me mad. Shame on these folks. |

Typed a long reply and it disappeared after closing this. Sigh…
I live in a crappy so called security building where people who don’t belong here get in. They steal packages and cars. It’s not unique to this building. Frosted glass on lobby doors aren’t a deterrent either, as they thought if people walking by can’t see them, no temptation. The sign saying 24/7 audio and video doesn’t help. I have an old fashioned peephole. A few months ago a woman came to my door twice. I didn’t even say who is it as I have no business with anyone. I use many things beyond the expiration date and I’m just fine. I hate our throw-a-way society. I just finally donated a twenty five yr old shirt to the goodwill. It’s a favorite shirt of excellent quality. But it’s too small now. Nothing wrong with it, not a fad style, classic.
I consider most dates way too conservative and driven by worry of lawsuits. __________________ Nammu …Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. …... Desiderata Max Ehrmann |

True Nammu. I read expiration dates are more for the company to protect themselves, that goes for both food and medicine both over the counter and prescription. If it’s still effective or tastes/looks okay I use it. I scraped some mold off some hummus. It still tastes good and I’m still here. I also hate our throw away culture. Where is all that trash going to go? We can’t recycle everything.
