My friend that has Bi-polar type 1 now has Dementia her doctor from medicare said. She has Dementia off and on. I take care of her because her family doesn't want to deal with her bi-polar. I wonder if she has Dementia for real or pretending this condition? I'm looking for another doctor for a second opinion. What do you think about this?
Thanks. |

I think a second-opinion is a great idea. Will it be from a neurologist?

Hi, Bob. A second opinion might help. Her medications could be affecting her memory. Let's hope you'll be allowed to talk to the doctor in private about your concerns.
