My partner is a compulsive cheater and liar. He seeks the attention from other girls, doesn't do anything in person, but messages them on Facebook and text, seeking their sexual advances and their attention. He told me that he can't stop; that it's like a hole he can't fill. He suffers from depression, and is not an outgoing or narcissistic person - he just likes their attention. Does this sound like a sex addiction or something else? In midst of getting him help, but would also like some assistance on here, if possible.

I'm glad you are getting some help for your partner. There is a depression forum here. Have you tried posting there for advice from a different point of view? There could be any number of things responsible for his behavior.
