I have been watching/reading porn or doing finding other ways to masturbate since i was about six years old. I was around that age when I first saw my parents having sex and I have been intriuged by it since then. As a kid I would hump my teddy bear and other things and would fantasies about doing it with my baby sitter practically everyday. That hasn't really changed now and I'm 33 and with my fiance and I'm constantly finding outlets of porn or talking with other women even talked a few girls and it got sexual. One almost to actually cheating. I don't think I'd actually follow thru with the cheating but its the thrill of talking about sex or masturbating when I can't have sex with my Fiance. I don't know what i can do to fix it or help abate it since its been going on for years. If there's anything I can do I'd be willing to do it to save my relationship.

It is an interesting question. Do you think cheating is to think of different partners while masturbating?

Good Idea. Also there are medications that will inhibit you
physically and mentally from even thinking about sex. But the bottom line here is that you have an addiction that needs to be addressed in some way. Seek professional advice. __________________ Trying to Live in the Moment |

I don't think it would be considered cheating to think about different people while masturbating. It would be if your masturbating while actually talking to a different person that's not your partner. At least that's what I think anyway.

The idea is that you acknowledge that you have an urge to do something, but then bring your attention back to the current activity you are doing (Like working). It takes time to get the hang of it, but seems somewhat effective. My guess is that overtime, things that used to trigger "self pleasure" goes away. So things like a specific time or place won't get you aroused much. If you do try to reduce the amount of times you "self pleasure", be aware that you may get a bit grumpy after a few days (This happened with me). I was going to suggest maybe using sex toys instead of talking to girls sexually. But I think might make it worse, since you may end up wanting the "next big thing" or "something better". It still might be worth experimenting with this to see if it works or makes it worse. |
