Hi - I'm wondering how can I appreciate someones looks without having an urge to take it to myself? And how can I stop fetishizing in ways that further disconnect me?
Is it alright to be doing the above or is it unhealthy? Even though I'm in a relationship I don't see how I'd be able to turn off that impulse? Especially recently, I've noticed or outright been told that something romantic if that's the word has been occuring with people. It's hard for me to discern what's friendly vs what I should be drawing lines on before I have someone think that I want to physically engage. How can I see things through a normal view? Have platonic relationships and discern friendly from warm, warm from romantic, romantic from sexual so that I am not uncomfortable and others are not either? Without getting personal my current living situation is almost entirely frustrating which i did not expect when having company in bed. So this has become a bigger issue than it ever has.
