anyone have suggestions on what to do if life overwhelms you and you feel like you are suffering from life burnout? it seems like i've tried everything. even therapists can't seem to help me much. the things i don't like about my life i cannot change. i hate being gay and don't fit in the gay community. i encounter a lot of prejudice on the job and socially. as a child i suffered from emotional abuse and neglect. my MD has me on meds that make me sleep a lot - too much I think. i need a job and friends but have no hope left. help.

Sorry you're going through this. Sometimes I feel "burnt out," too, although for different reasons than you. But I hope your life will improve.

"Life burnout" -- exactly! This oughta be a real dx.

Hope things get better. There are a lot of potential friends here. I'll be one if you like.

I'm bi and I don't fit in with the gay community either. I always feel judged by them (and I live in San Francisco!), so I know what you mean.
