Anyone here read "The Sexual Healing Journey" by Wendy Maltz?

Right now, I am trying to face my sexual problems in therapy but I just bought this book on Amazon since I am having such a hard time talking about this stuff with my T. It's all full of ick and ick and ICK for me. So reading might be easier. Though even reading the reviews was triggery... I was wondering if anyone here had read this book and could tell me if it was good or if I might be interested in another book as well?

Also has anyone here ever healed from big sex problems resulting from trauma? How did you do it? Were you able to do it without a partner? I am having such a hard time believing things will actually improve. Especially because my T's never treated a problem quite like mine even though she treats sexual trauma and PTSD. I just don't know about this!

I haven't read that one, but I liked Healing Sex: A Mind-Body Approach to Healing Sexual Trauma by Staci Haines. Let me know if the book is any good. If so, I'll check it out.

Of course, in terms of general CSA books, The Courage to Heal is a classic.

Best,
Emily
