Someone just PM'd me (I won't reveal you!) but I really would like more information on this.

Is there a link between adult ADD / ADHD and a low sex drive?

Can you find me some internet articles about this? I have done a little Googling and found one or two but the wording had some things that may offend my husband, they kind of make the ADHD person in the article come off soudning bad.

If this is true...then after 8 YEARS of agony in the 10 years we've been together, I may have finally found the reason for our sexless marriage. I've blamed it on everything, mostly myself, my weight, my craziness, whatever.

I know my husband has some form of ADHD. He was on Ritalin as a child during school. He is always on the go, moving, very hyperactive and somewhat distractable. Can't sit down and read a book. Never did well in school because of that - but he is VERY intelligent.

One issue however - are there meds that would only work to help bring back whatever would bring back his sex drive....and not necesssarily calm the hyperactivity part? Quite frankly, he THRIVES on his hyperactivity, especially at work. If we calm that down, his productivity would decrease, and his work could suffer. I don't want to risk his job just so I can get laid.

Then again....we are down to 2-3 times a YEAR at best. It's bad. Last time he touched me was Christmas, and he only did that because he felt obligated since it was a holiday.

Just wanted to clarify in how I worded it....August will be 10 years since our 1st date, I was 19 then, but we've only been married for 5 years. So no I didn't marry him when I was 19!

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
