Good news-I recently registered for APA membership, and on the application there was the choices of male, female....and transgender!
Holy crap do you have any idea how awesome it is not to have to pick one?! I'm exstatic lol |

That's great to hear. I remember agonizing over which to pick on forms when I was early in transition. Glad you didn't have to worry about it this time!

In a way I agree with you, in the sense that what is a female attribute, what is a male attribute, when all it is-is humanity. Not masculine, not feminine. So I definetly wonder why it matters for sure.
I think it's one step in the right direction to not having to have a specific gender on our licenses, to less and less "feminine" or "masculine" societal roles. |
