My wife was recently prescribed Lexapro. Her energy, libido and ability to reach orgasm are way down?
Anyone have any experience with this drug? Thanks in advance. |

I'd suggest she talk to her doctor.
I was on Lexapro for years. And now that I'm off it, I realize that it put me in a fog. I had no energy either. And I don't think it was really helping my depression either. I really can't speak to the other stuff. |

I don't know how reliable that is, but the side effects listed seem to be exactly what you describe in your wife, and apparently par for the course. __________________ The world suffers alot. Not because of the violence of bad people, but because of the silence of good people.- Napoleon Bonaparte |

I have been on Lexapro for about 8 years. I started at 10mg and worked my way up to 40mg. I still notice some of the side effects, but they far outweigh the life I was living before the meds. My current problem is Lexapro just went generic. I am unsure if it is really working for me. I am crying more, feeling much more apathetic, and in general, displeased with my life.
I do notice a decreased ability to orgasm. That is really the only complaint. With the right partner and/or toys that can be helped. |
