Scared of being in my bikini in front of him

I'm being way too paranoid about it, but my guy friend likes me and we are heading to the beach. I want to go swimming, but nervous about him looking at me. It's only him I'm nervous about, I went swimming in the ocean with a whole group of campers and was okay, but its him I'm worried about because he likes me.

I want to walk around in a bikini and shorts and go swimming, but am I letting him see too much? I told him I just wanted to be friends and he said okay.

((Dr Skipper)) - what in particular are you scared of. Is it you're modest, have body issues or nervous he might like you more than you're comfortable with? Maybe wear those shorts that come with bathing suits. Its refreshing to see a young women be a touch modest - nothing wrong with that. Anyway I hope your time at the beach goes well.

If he does flirt, put him on his place, again. He knows the deal, why would you suddenly change your mind? I wouldn't let him influence my attire, but maybe thats just me, and I also don't know if there's more to the story...

I agree with Trippin and Bella. If he tries to flirt with you, don't be afraid to remind him he's a friend, nothing more. I don't know much about women's swim wear (we get those God awfully uncomfortable mesh crap pants and call it a day ), but the shorts Bella suggested might help ease your mind a little, and might suggest to him that you don't want to reveal too much (to him, at any rate).
