Just after separating from my ex I've developed a problem reaching orgasm. I get sooo close and it feels like I'm on the verge of it and then nothing just my clitoris gets over-sensitive. But I constantly feel engorged and ready but nothing relieves it. I'm getting very frustrated.

Does anyone know what to do?

Are you taking any medications. I take zoloft and the symptoms sound very similar. Just curious.

Yes Lithium and venlafaxine. Could that cause it? I've been on them for ages.

I don't know,
I didn't start having issues w/ my meds until I got into the higher dosages. I have been able to cut my meds back to every other day w/ minimal side affects. But unfortunately the side affect of being unable to reach orgasm is still there. But mine would improve I do believe if I liked my H a little more.

I was unable to orgasm for about 2 months back in 2012, and it was just after I went on cymbalta. Perhaps you are having a similar issue.

I overcame it by just walking into the bathroom and resolving not to come out until I had orgasmed. It took a lot of hard work, but eventually I came and after that I was able to orgasm normally. Maybe this is what you need to do.

Hmmm - i have never thought about the fact that Lithium may be inhibiting my ability to orgasm - some thought provoking stuff! I do have problems with orgasms but always thought it was a control issue from my side - bit of a control freak i am !
