When someone is confused about their sexuality, do they try to cover it by getting into a heterosexual relationship?
Can people actually fool themselves into thinking their straight when evidence has pointed in all other directions? |

People definately try to act straight when they aren't sure of their sexual orientation. Its self defense. As long as society has a problem with same sex relationships, those struggling with it will continue to hide it.
I don't think that you can fool yourself into becoming straight, in fact its probably not emotionally healthy to keep covering it up. You don't have to tell anyone you don't want to, but if you think that you are gay, be yourself. There is no shame in same sex love. Yes, people get into heterosexual relationships, even to the extent of getting married just to try and overcome their nature. Those relationships usually don't work anymore than a heterosexual person could have a successful homosexual relationship. Regardless of which orientation you are, it has nothing to do with who you are as a person. If people find out and don't like it, that is their problem. It really doesn't concern them. Just be yourself and go with your gut. Sam2 |

Thanks for your reply Sam...that makes sense. The reason I'm asking is because, well the girl who I was in love with, who gave me many signals she was interested in me- then played games, then the first guy who was interested asked her out and now she's in a relationship with him...I just wonder if she was hetero to begin with or just a plain arsehole
