How long do they usually last?

What can be done to prevent them, other than ample hydration? In terms of hydration - what amount of fluids should be consumed before?

do many people have them, from time to time, or only those who are prone to headaches in general (I very much am)?

Thanks...

Well, you know medicine isn't my forte, but perhaps it's a matter of blood pressure? The "Big O" is at least on my top five on things that'll quickly spike a heart rate.

I google'd your question after typing the above, and I got the link at the bottom of this post. Your disposition to migraines (according to the article) puts you in position for them, and my hunch was correct according to the article, or is at least theorized as correct. I didn't look through the entire thing, but perhaps it can be of some use?

Hydration...I don't know the correct amount, honestly. I do think it could be a factor though. I "smoke" electronic cigarettes after quitting the real thing, and the medium that's used as a base in the juice causes dehydration after inhaling for a good bit (and I inhale a LOT, so... ). I get headaches if I go too long after "smoking" without drinking something (have one now, actually ). For me personally, a bottle of water does the trick, but that varies. Why not try starting there and varying the water intake as you need to help with hydration?

Orgasm and headaches

I will try with water. The article does mention migraines. My blood pressure is actually low, but migraines-oh, yeah...

Ugh...sorry to hear that. I've never had a migraine, but I understand they're debilitating.

I wonder...if your blood pressure is low, if it has been like that for awhile, if the increase caused by orgasm, even if it returns it to a normal BP or even below normal, if that, due to your body being used to low blood pressure, would cause the same effect that it would to a person with normal blood pressure? lol Again, not my specialty, but that would make sense (on paper, at least ).

low throughout my life, and, when I was on Risperdal, I had it horribly low... but I am trying to up it a bit with caffeine.

Ah...how much caffeine? Caffeine can cause dehydration due to its status as a diuretic. That certainly wouldn't help your headaches (well, mostly...caffeine can help headaches in some instances, according to Wikipedia, but the loss of water isn't going to help headaches in the long run).

Not enough to deplete the body of fluids, no.

I cannot afford imitrex without insurance. It works, especially the spray, but 270 bucks a month.

Trying to get it through the county.

It is great.
