Just proving that your pale blue eyes stood out more, and your natural skin complexion was able to shine through.
The only one thing I'd change on that picture is a genuine eye sparkling smile :P Thanks for travelling around the world to do that reseaarch |

Well when you set out to deliberately make yourself look unattractive by pulling faces you're going to get the results you're looking for. I can make my face look like the Joker from Batman, and then ask a bunch of women if they find me attractive. I wonder what their answer would be. Also if that's you in your avatar ( I can't be sure if it is ), then no you don't look better with make up. I prefer the picture of you above. But I'm probably lying about this though, to make some random women on the internet who I don't care about feel better about herself. Last edited by Anonymous200125; Jun 14, 2013 at 10:25 AM.. |

Sorry in case of misunderstanding. I mean make up could be responsible for the zits. Last edited by Anonymous200125; Jun 14, 2013 at 10:53 AM.. |

I'm assuming the associated thought process was probably relating to some types of makeups can stop the skin being able to breathe and clog pours leading to "zits". Additionally wearing different layers of makeup on different parts of the face couldn't that lead to inconsistent tanning levels resulting in an underlying blotchy appearance? I am admittedly a guy, so please don't crucify me if I'm wrong |

You also seem to be a little mixed up in your head. Hugging and thanking my posts and then criticising what I type. |

also... make-up doesn't clog pores, ffs. I remove mine in the evening. Now all the men here gotten cosmetiology certificate somewhere. I won't say where they pulled it from. My skin is actually mostly kinda nice and I hardly ever use full cover up. I guess next thing you guys gonna tell is that my eyelashes are invisible because I use mascara and it eats the pigment or something. In my part of world, we have attractive chicks, but we need to bring up our features. Pale skin and invisible eyelashes is one of the misfortunate features of my genetic make up (no pun intended). __________________ Glory to heroes!

I don't pretend to be an expert in make up. But I do know the odd times I've tried to moisturise my own face, I come up in with odd zit which is why I don't do it often. Also just doing a quick google search and one of the common side effects of make up is clogged pores.

I just don't like the attitude of some of the women on here who are having a go at men, when there's no reason for it. It was a simple question aimed at men if they prefer a woman with or without make up. When many of the men said they didn't, they were more or less accused of being liars and hypocrites. A few other subtle sexist remarks also. |

I don't think the men are lying or hypocritical when they say they prefer no makeup. I simply think that when a woman is wearing it properly, that is in a subtle way that doesn't SCREAM "I've got my face covered in makeup," he may not even realize she's wearing any. If she has evened out her skin tone and made it look rosy, and accented her best features while drawing attention away from her flaws, he might think she just has really good, healthy skin. Therefore he'll say he prefers that look, as opposed to Mimi who was pictured in an earlier post.
Whether or not makeup clogs pores depends on brand, how thickly it's applied, and whether or not it's removed properly, as well as general skin care practices. If I'm not mistaken, it would seem waterproof brands are more likely to clog pores, since perspiration won't dilute it. This is one reason I never use waterproof. I also don't use mascara of any kind, since even "hypoallergenic" brands tend to irritate me. I guess I just don't like to have anything directly touching my eyelashes. To draw attention to my eyes, I use liner. Brown-black nowadays, at this stage of my life, whereas when I was younger I went for blackest-black. Too dark a shade would now look garish on me. Also, as Venus pointed out, makeup must be removed at night, even if it is not full coverage. I wash my face as usual, use a baby wipe to get anything that remains, and then apply a small bit of mineral oil (I have very dry skin) to a cotton ball and use it on the driest parts of my face. It makes my skin very soft in the morning. PS: I don't wear makeup if I'm just hanging around the house or doing personal errands like grocery shopping. I wear it for church, business, and any other time my appearance matters, because unfortunately if you're a woman, it often does. Last edited by anon20140705; Jun 14, 2013 at 03:25 PM.. |

Should women wear make-up? I don't think so. Nobody should do anything unless they want to.
I do, however, think that most women look better with a little bit of make-up. Everything in moderation though. I personally don't like it when a woman is obviously wearing way too much make-up. I prefer the more natural look. Then again, my opinion does not matter at all. As long as everyone just does whatever makes them feel comfortable, it's all good. |

I think wearing makeup is distracting. At least, if I think it's distracting, then it's too much makeup. There's the clumpy mascara, or the mascara that makes your eyelashes look like spider legs, eyeshadow that's too dark or too colorful, overdone eyeliner that tries to mimic Cleopatra, too much blush/bronzer... The general rule is to wear makeup that looks like you're not wearing makeup at all.
I think the natural look is very eye-catching and makes me say "Wow, that is a confident woman, I would date her." |
