I don't mind a goatee and managed body hair. I don't get why some men totally remove all body hair - including legs...that's a lot of work lol. I get why professional swimmers and body builders do it. Pet peeve for me are men who over shape the eyebrows(arching) and end up looking prettier than me lol. Its a fine balance (grooming not shaping), because I also don't like the overgrown eyebrows, hairs in the ears and nose hairs that happens with old age.

I had long hair most of my life. It was part of the uniform I started having it cut shorter a few years back. It's just too damned hot here and shorter hair is so much easier plus I save money on shampoo :^)
I had a mustache for a few years... just because. It's a guy thing lol. When I was a boy I couldn't wait to be old enough to shave. When I reached that point I was disappointed. Shaving every day is a PITA and a loss of 10 minutes. But I do it anyway... most days. No frikking way I'd shave any other part of my body. Deal with it. I'm not that hairy anyway. Okay...your question : Should Men Shave, or Not? Like women and makeup I think it's personal choice and men should do whateverthe**** they want. And yeah... I get this thread :P |

You would really hate me about twice a week then Lycanthrope! LOL! I've been married for ten years and I have to say, I shave about 3 times a week which is down from every day! lol! But no complaints from my hubby so far. He's a hairy guy himself and he's just grateful to get er....stuff! LOL!

When I was living in eastern Germany, my girlfriend didn't shave. I've got to say, it took some getting used to, but there came a point where I didn't give it any thought. It was "normal" there.

My gf seemed so embarrassed when she couldn't shave for a while. I just thought... you look like a woman now lol.

I'm a seasonal shaver. I shave in the summer and hibernate in the winter. There's no point in shaving in the winter when I'm wearing pants all the time, but when I'm wearing a swimsuit I gotta look good.

How did this end up about women again....I thought it was a payback thread for the makeup one? Just for fun of course.

I do like goatees assuming it fits the man, but if you aren't going to have one then please shave because the stubble irritates the crap out of my face.
Chest hair really is okay with me, so its almost a turn off if a guy shaves it. I don't really care about back hair either but men sure do...I used to shave an ex's back for him in the summer time. Manscaping um "down there" is nice and appreciated. The only men I have dated who have shaved their legs were cyclists and that was hot...the hot more being the cyclist part and the shaved legs just came along for the ride. Oh and I had an ex with long hair (down a little past his shoulders) and it was super thick and wavy...I was just envious! He pulled it off well. You have to have the right hair/bone structure for that. Men losing there hair are also much too sensitive about it...they can be just as attractive as a man with a full head of hair. And I shave my legs every day because I HATE the way it feels otherwise, ugh. |

My answer is the same as my answer to the make-up question. The guy should do whatever he likes and/or he feels looks best on him. I'm opposed to anyone telling anyone else what they should or shouldn't do about their appearance.

I voted for the stubbly face and managed body hair. I like a man to be a man, but I don't want it getting out of control because I try my best to keep myself groomed and he should too

Because there's such a thing as using soap and water and a deodorant. Also it's annoying to shave and I should imagine it itches a lot also.

There is soap and water and deodorant for women too but would that be acceptable in general? Doesn't itch at all at least not for me.

I didnt vote because my preference/choice was not there
I prefer well-groomed... I certainly don't mind a little scruff in the am. And I prefer a clean head of hair (or even not so much)...but just clean. Long hair and metro stuff not so much for me, though. As for manscaping. Yes! But I just don't want to know about it. TMI. (I return the courtesy. I call that part of my life (mani/pedi, anything salon or spa-related, if asked) a "mystery appt" |

I'm so glad my bf isn't very hairy and he practices regular "manscaping", because I am not comfortable with telling anyone what they "should" do, even if its my preferance
I have very little body hair myself, hell I have very little hair on the top of my head compared to most. Guess it just feels foreign to me then? Also I HATE beard burn, my dad used to scrape his beard on my cheeks to irritate me when I was little, simply becoz he loved annoying people in general lol. So maybe my aversion to men with facewarmers is his fault I mean I think well groomed beards are sexy as hell, but I don't want it near me. Ever. Lmao |
