Yup, but not for any of the reasons listed in the article. I'm not incapable of having sex, I'm not unable to meet/talk to women, and I'm not "saving" it for marriage. I am simply quite adamantly against ever doing it.

To be fair, the tide is changing and it is now becoming a stigma to even be an older female virgin. I've been thrown away like garbage as soon as it was known that I was a virgin before. And that was when I was in my early 20's. That's just disturbing. Actually, holding it against the person, male or female, is disturbing.

tang, you can meet females, you just need to get out, you have a good sense of humour and all that, plus females are less picky in person.

Yeah i do go out. I don't see any shame in being a virgin and it's not just the sex . It's the whole package and looking on POF i don't really find most women on there my age particularly attractive ( they prob say the same about me). Did you read the article and the comments of mine at the end. |

As you get older, your best bet is to find a woman who's done with the games and nonsense. As long as they are still looking for the "hottie", and if you don't fit that description, it's a no-go. Being nice, funny, all that means nothing. Women make their decision in, what is it, 5 seconds? That means they're as shallow as men and make their decision based on appearances, just like men. They have just as unrealistic expectations as men.
My wife is an example. I couldn't buy a date until I met her. (Literally!) She had the token boyfriends; the powerlifting champion, the college quarterback, etc. She picked me because I was stable and could support myself. It wasn't my personality or my looks, it was that I didn't carry the instability that the "hotties" did and she was done with that. That's your best bet, finding a woman that's done with the nonsense. |

I don't particularly see the stigma in being a virgin as a male. Yeah, the pressure to punch the "v-card" is rather immense, but I don't see why it's held in poor regard if you choose to wait for that first time to mean something aside from "that one chick back in high school/college/at the office." __________________ The world suffers alot. Added my input to the comments. It's a good article with (mostly) good discussion. I'm very much in disagreement with the author's notion that there is "no real reason" for anyone to stay be or remain a virgin past their 20's or so. He also seems very dismissive of the element of the voluntary choice to remain a virgin, which I take a bit of issue with.
