As most of the veteran posters know by now, I'm a 31 (soon to be 32) year old male virgin. I had someone suggest to me that investing in a blow up doll would be suitable as practice for sex in the unlikely event I have real sex with a real woman. Would this be a good idea, and is it worth my time and money to get one?

Well...I don't know much about them, tbqh, as far as how they work goes. I mean, I get the basic concepts, but I'm not sure about material quality or anything like that. I've always imagined it'd be like making love to a beach ball, personally.

I'd say it'd be fine as far as a masturbatory aid, provided you get one that's well made (IE don't get one where they put the seam in the...important places, so to speak ), and arguably practice...you'd get the "ins and outs" of things (sorry! Had to ), but it's not suitable practical experience for real sex due to the lack of any feedback. Overall though...why not?

What's the price range we're looking at? That'd help.

YES! This thread. IT HAPPENED.

I've been waiting forever for someone to post a blow up doll post. You're the lucky winner.

Alright, now let's get down to business.

I've never owned a blow up doll. I wonder if it even feels good. It won't be anything like the real deal because real women are not made of plastic. The holes are one-size-fits-all so what if the hole doesn't fit your penis? And you'd probably have to use a lot of lube and warm it up just to get the right...consistency. Plus, it would have to be some random person, not anybody you like.

OMG if I had a Skrillex blow up doll...I might die of embarrassment before I get a chance to use it.

But I've seen blow up dolls at the sex store and they've got some attractive people, and really ugly people. Idk, I fantasize about having sex because of their personality, not for their looks. So wouldn't you have to give your blow up doll a name and personality? I don't know how much blow up dolls are but I'm guessing they cost the same as any other sex toy ($20-30).

What you might get is a flesh light or whatever they're called. It's supposed to feel like the real deal, which would be better than plastic.

Good luck on your quest.

I've heard flesh lights are the (your word here) and a bag of chips. I've also seen ones modeled after...the anatomy of certain people. Usually porn stars. I don't know how accurate those are (or how the hell they would get a cast of a woman's vagina, tbqh...seems like that would hurt? :/), but they're there.

I don't know anything about how they feel...lol like I said, the "beach ball" notion is pretty pervasive. But, I'm bored, and I'm heading home in about 2 hours to the joys of internet without content filters. I'll see what I can find.

You can actually buy life like sex dolls. They'll even do the eye colour, hair and body shape and have them wear lingerie. The vagina apparently feels real or close to it and you can even do a-nal and oral sex. Will cost about 3-4 grand though.

I will say that if you get one, would be a good idea to not let your future GF know about it. Some women will (unfairly) be creeped out by it.

Please forgive my ignorance I don't know your history.....
"practice?" no. Blow up dolls don't move. And the real good ones are quite pricey from what I see. Probably cost you more than a ticket to Nevada. Although you would be able to use it more than once.

Do you WANT to have sex with a woman? (you said "unlikely event" and that means me interpreting, possibly incorrectly)

If so, ummm.....Craigslist? It's illegal, but it doesn't stop women from posting without using the actual words...
There are also escort services....which may be a better or worse, I can't speak from experience.
And those that consider themselves "courtesans" seem quite lovely, from what I see.

Forgive me if I misunderstand.

Thanks for giving me a link to an adult website with a naked woman on the cover?

Wouldn't a prostitute/escort be cheaper than a "real doll"?

For the amount a real doll costs you could get about 20-30 goes with a prostitute.

No, it's okay. When I say unlikely event, I mean the fact that I want to have sex with a woman but I can't see it happening. I have in fact sought escorts, but I had one rip me off (I paid the money and she never showed up), and I had another one reject me because of my virginity.

I wish I had the money to afford a ticket to Nevada, as well as time to take off, but I have neither. I had the blow up doll idea suggested to me in a self help chat when I mentioned I'm at my wits' end trying to find sex.

How can an escort say no to sex? Isn't that why you're paying them?

It's because I requested actual sex not just foreplay and fun, and I needed it because I am a virgin. I asked her if the virginity was why, and of course I never got a reply. Talk about the ultimate degradation, that's why I feel like I'm meant to never have sex.

It sounds like you just got ripped off. I don't think the virginity had anything to do with it...just a grab and run on her part. Nothing on you.

One I paid and she never showed up. The other I emailed and told her I was a virgin and wanted intercourse. She told me no. I'm looking for no strings attached, but they all want experienced guys. Thus I'm looking for anything to get practice, but it may be as close as I get to sex.

She refused to have sex with you because you're a virgin? What a weird escort. You know try another one, and this time don't tell them you're a virgin.

It's loathsome that no one wants to do a virgin. Even if I don't tell her, she'll figure it out with my horrible inability to take cues or properly satisfy her. Never mind I'm PAYING for this.

Why do people think I'm (insert slur) because I've never had sex. Why?
