I am beginning to worry about a recent issue in my relationship. I have been seeing a man on and off for 8 years. During those 8 years we were friends with benefits but a year ago we decided to get together and have an actual relationship. We have an amazing relationship, we talk at least two hours every night, we communicate very well, he is great with my children, he is my best friend. We are getting married April 20th. We actually have a very stable and normal relationship. The issue is he is a very sexual person as am I. We have a very diverse sex life. Normally we engage in rough, bdsm, pain, etc because we both greatly enjoy it and it is an outlet for us. From day one I never go unsatisfied in the bedroom until recently. We were intimate and I did not have an orgasm which is a very unusual thing for me then on another occasion we were in bed together and I asked him to make love to me and he could not keep an erection. These issues are bothering me because we have never had these problems. The reason it bothers me is because in my previous relationship with the father of my children we had the same issues when our relationship started to fall apart and we distanced ourselves emotionally from one another. That is the last thing I want from this relationship because we are great together. I don't know if I am being paranoid about this situation or if there is something to it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Could it be that the impending wedding is making you both stressed?

^ this.

I've never had problems in that area, but a wedding is so ridiculously stressful.. You'll both probably bounce back afterwards. If not, well then there are therapies that work. I wouldn't stress about it though.
