Hi, I'm here to ask:
Whats the psychological reasons behind a young male or teen to have sexual thoughts regarding his mother?

Not to actually initiate it, but the fact that they happen whilst masturbation, or times of anger towards her.

Urgent, please and thank you.
Hugs from:

Hi, dshingy, and welcome to Psych Central!

Sigmund Freud might be surprised that you are actually aware of such feelings, but not surprised that they are there. Remember that you are likely to have had a close physical bond to her over the years--nursing (and even with a bottle requires close physical contact), holding, comforting, kissing, hugging. And now that you are older and your sexual desires have come into full force, then it's not really unusual for them to be directed toward this lady who has been so physically close. In fact, Freud noted that men often marry women who somehow remind them of their moms.

I strongly suggest, though, that you do not focus on her while masturbating. And I am not so sure about the anger trigger.

Have you sought out a girlfriend? It might be time--perhaps not for a full sex relationship but at least for some connection with young gals your age. As you said, your feelings are now "misdirected."

I suggest if these feelings persist, especially with the anger, then you ask your primary care doc and tell him what you told us. Okay?

I really think that you can have sexual thought about just about anyone and there is really no problem with that (as long as it is kept strictly as a fantasy).
