I dislike tattoos very much. Piercings are tolerable for me, except nipple or genital ones. My girlfriend has 3 tattoos and I wish that she didn't have any. If I could have found a girl without tattoos that would've been great, but unfortunately most people today have tattoos.
She has one large flowery tattoo covering her foot, which isn't that bad...but she has one on her breast and her neck too. She tells me she wants to get a large one across her back and I told her that I really wish she wouldn't but she says it's something she always wanted, so I can't stop her. For my girlfriend to get a tattoo would huge negative impact on me as her boyfriend for a number of reasons. It messes with our relationship because it makes me feel as though she trusts the tattoo artist more than she trusts me. It disturbs my core mentally especially if the artist is a male. She is allowing this guy to permanently mark her body however he wants. To be honest it is harmful to me mentally. Lastly, I simply do not care for tattoos on the human body whatsoever. I do not think we should be permanently marking our bodies up - it is not a religious thing with me, it is just how I feel personally. I don't find them attractive or sexy at all. To me, natural skin is more attractive. If you like art and you want people to see it, make a painting and sell it or some other form of art, don't get tattoos. |

piercings are hot on either sex as long as they're no gauges or plugs. When it comes to tattoos I prefer my men with more tattoos (sleeves), while I prefer my women to have small, softer fewer tattoos. Tattoos in general are a huge turn on but it also depends of what and where on either sex.

I find tattoos and piercings incredibly sexy. Like seriously, it's always been a turn on for me. My husband is the opposite, he doesn't like my piercings or tattoos and doesn't have any either. I have 6 tattoos, and 8 piercings (ears, eyebrow, nose, lip, Monroe, nipples) and I've taken some piercings out because he doesn't like them. Maybe more women like them on men then men do on women? __________________ Am I the only one I know, waging my wars behind my face and above my throat? Diagnosed: BPD PTSD |

I'm not sure if I said what I USED to have as piercings: nips, septum, navel, nostril (still). Everything closed up and wouldn't heal except my nostril. Anything else I want redone will have to be silver of gold. Expensive!
My avatar is my latest tat. My artest is pretty good plus we go way back so I get a discount. Lol. __________________ Bipolar GAD Panic Disorder "Don't let anyone else get in the way of why you're here." |

I think ear-lugs and facial piercings look absolutely ****ing retarted. If you are a dog anyway, then I guess it doesn't make much difference. But if you are pretty then please don't.

A woman with her ear pierced is as far as it goes for me. Tattoos look atrocious and anything on any other body part is a turn off.

You are stricter than me in your preferences. For me, as long as there one hole and the earring is tasteful, and both earrings are the same, it looks good - a stud, a long dangling something, or anything in-between goes, although simple studs look classiest of all.

Anyway, as someone who has a couple of piercings and a tattoo (and plans on getting more piercings and tattoos in the future), I like tattoos and piercings on men and women. I wouldn't say it's a turn-on necessarily, but it certainly isn't a turn-off. Unless it's a misspelled tattoo, because that just makes me feel sad. |

Could someone explain this new body-mod cultural? I can't understand it. I know so many people who are tattoo and piercing covered... And I don't get it.
I had an argument with my girlfriend the other day because she wanted a myriad of piercings on her body. And I love her body as it is. I don't understand how it "enhances" your body. And no one can explain it to me. The only thing I can think is that it has a lot to do with confusion, and poor self image (or esteem). Because I've never met a tattoo/piercing addict who thinks very highly of themselves. Because if you truly loved your body as it is, why would you want to change it? |

I'm not anti-tattoo on either men or women, rather I am anti-BAD-tattoo! There are so many bad tattoos out there, it isn't even funny. And then so many people get trendy tattoos of the time but then 10 years later they are so dated, faded, blurry, etc. My ex had bad tattoos and it was such a turn off as they were so damn ugly. The current guy I'm interested in has beautiful tats on his arms and I love them. Its very much a case-by-case thing with me.
