I think it is wonderful. my ONLY concern is the teens as this could get pretty graphic I suppose.

Good point bebop. I will take that into consideration when I'm reading the posts about the teens. We should all try to remember to keep things non-explicit, while informative.

lol well I do wish it could be on an adult level since for the most part we are adults. maybe there would be some way to protect this forum from the teens. a thought anyway

Why not have an all teen forum? Just like there's a mens forum and a womens forum? I think that it would be hoppin' I notice we always have teens in Chat so maybe they can have there own area to discuss teen things? With someone looking out for them of course. Maybe one of our TEEN members that has been around a while?

It could be possible....however the teens never seem to use the teen chat. It seems that our teen members tend to be pretty mature and look to adults to help with their issues. They have all the same problems we do, so if we had a teen forum, would it need to have all the sub-categories that we already have?

Hmmmmm, I have seen lot's of teens in the teen chat since I have been here. For instance maybe start it out like we did the Mens and Womens. IMHO~I think it is a good idea. Yes they are are very mature and do seek out our advice which I am sure that will continue, but this gives them the Opportunity as we have as Men and Women to seek help from there peers. Regarding maybe the same issues. We can make it a smaller forum, but with some of the same threads. Having them see what it's like for others there age. You never know some teens may not feel comfortable posting in the forums when there are mainly adults in it. Having peers to communicate with and not adults sometimes is easier for them to do. BTW~Alot of this is feedback I asked for from my daughter and my 17 yr old neice.
I hope this makes sense? This is only my opinion ok. __________________ |

I personally feel that we just need to carry on as decent adults and to talk as we normally would, with respect and consideration for all - and I feel that it was my honest and open talk about sex with my own two sons that got my oldest to the age of 21 before he had sex and that has kept my 17 from waiting as well - They knew the facts, therefore, they did not feel the need to go out and experiment in order to find the answers. I posted a reminder at the top of this forum about watching out for our teen viewers. Hopefully that will help.

I agree with Rhapsody, my parents started talking about sex and explaining it nearly from the start. I was three when I first started asking and they answered. Apparently I thought it was hillarious. I'm really greatful my parents started so soon, it made talking about sex not so difficult when we were teens. I wasn't curious and I waited till I was 18 and in a relationship for over 2 years.
