I think this stems from childhood memories. It's all bunched up and there are seams everywhere from the hose and the underwear. It's all very confusing and scary.

Anyone have any ideas on this?

I find pantyhose confusing and scary in itself--never mind what's underneath.

To answer your question, I think most women aren't aware that this area can be confusing and intimidating to men.

Maybe this explains why my boyfriend only has sex with me every six months or so.

I hate pantyhose , I tried putting them on and they ripped very easy , not sure why it scares you it's more of a pain in the butt and a waste of money .

how I hated the pantyhose and how happy I am to live in a sunny state and not have to wear it again.

You are in AU, though - why is she wearing pantyhose? Does she work at a place that does not allow casual clothing?

Seriously, if I ever move to a cold climate place and have to wear formal clothing, I will wear old-fashioned stockings with a garter belt to avoid the seams of pantyhose in front and in the back. Plus, I bet that stockings are far sexier.

They are basically longjohns ie long utilitarian underwear for women. Unless you pay extra for them and they have lace or other nice designs woven into them. But regular daily pantyhose are the granny panties version of nylon stockings.

Illegal Toilet , I was thinking why it might scare you and I think because you might of seen people put them on there face on tv as they were going to rob a store , so maybe that is

Oh yeah! And bank robbers in black stockings over their faces, too.

I think they use old-fashioned stockings, though, and not pantyhose - the butt part () of the pantyhose and that one extra leg must be a huge inconvenience for robbers. Not that I have a lot of first hand experience, but just speculating...

Also one time when i was a toddler i remember trying to look under my grandmother's dress and i was severely rebuked. That area was a mystery to me and a forbidden zone.
