I've been watching porn since I was 16 (I'm a girl) and maybe it's just the types of porn I'm into have changed over the years...I specifically like 'gagging' blow job videos. As the name says, I like watching blow job videos where the girls gag. Recently I am seeing tons of videos and links to other porn sites specifically catering towards videos where the girls are intentionally gagging to the point of vomiting. I have no interest in this, but I'm seeing a lot of videos like this and I'm wondering if this is the new big trend to go more extreme than what porn videos used to be.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

That kind of video has been around for a long time. Going back before streaming tube videos, there were MP2 videos of just that. (Yeah, MP2, not MP4 ) I would say it's becoming more available which may be causing an growth in interest. They're gross to me, but there's a lot worse out there I guess.

There area all kinds of odd fetishes out there. If you have a kinky desire for it, chances are that someone is catering to that desire.

I believe that's called Rule 43 in the Urban Dictionary, which states: You can find anything on the internet if you're willing to look long enough.

I've been watching porn online since about age 16 or 17 also... and in my opinion, things have changed.

I've noticed two things specifically. 1. Almost all the girls are shaved bare (no pubic hair at all.) It used to be some shaved some full muff, some trimmed into neat shapes, etc, with pretty much a mixed bag of what you'd see. But now it seems like everyone is shaved, and if you want to see pubic hair you have to actively search for it. Sign of the times maybe? When I first met my husband, I actually shaved because I thought that is what was expected. He was surprised, as he'd never had a girl friend who shaved before. I no longer shave because it's uncomfortable, and hubby likes my little muff anyway

2. So much spitting! When did it become okay to spit on your partner? Porn (both professional and amateur) seems to contain so much spitting, and I HATE IT. It's so disrespectful and just gross. Who wants to be spat upon when they're trying to enjoy sexy time?! YUCK!!!! (For me at least - no judgment if someone else likes it). But its a problem for me, because every time I see it I get turned off immediately, and it seems to be in every video I find... I'm not sure how to filter that out in searches. sigh.

Rule 34 definitely applies! If you can think it, it's out on the internet somewhere. I've noticed quite a few more fetish sites and things cropping up. Or maybe I'm just getting better at searching. But it seems you can find things that run the scale from mild to wild and everything in between.

I enjoy watching porn. But you're right. Porn has affected how I masturbate.

Axillary hair is making a welcome comeback, led by Miley Cyrus, Lena Dunham, and Chinese feminists, that will eventually leak into porn; there's also been important developments in the 'Blowing Grannies' fetish genre. Not that I would know anything about that. Never mind.

Has the porn industry changed?

It's not addiction in the sense that heroine or gambling are addictions. The brains of people who struggle with too much porn consumption do not react in an addictive pattern. For someone who has a gambling problem, their brain will be sensitive to the action and will show excitement. For someone viewing porn though, their brain is not sensitized to and their brain reaction will actually decrease.

There's no question that some people struggle to control their porn viewing however, labeling it addiction and treating it as such is patently wrong. Such uncontrollable viewing needs to be handled with different treatment and needs to be handled as a separate issue from addiction.

Porn 'Addiction' Isn't Really Addiction, Neuroscientists Say

Modulation of late positive potentials by sexual images in problem users and controls inconsistent with ?porn addiction?

I've noticed how porn has gotten more and more physical and less and less about the pure sensuality of the act of sex. Hence why I don't often like to watch the more physical stuff like slapping, and gagging a woman to the point of vomiting when she is giving a blowjob. Porn has gotten to the point of how much violence in sexual acts can be gotten away with, rather than focusing on the sheer emotional sensuality it has.

I've never seen any porn where the act was sensual.

I'd supply a link, but I don't think it's allowed out here in the public forums.

There is a huge variety of porn available. Some of it caters to women, who do tend to want more sensual images.

I'm a girl and I enjoy extreme rough sexual acts. I'm just wondering if the increasing violent sex is a new trend.

I am female and like to watch porn from time to time. I think the industry has changed some. The notion of female friendly porn was just not an option some years back. It was made for males to view. Not females are starting to join in the viewing. I think my view of porn is different then most. Due to sexual abuse and rape I had very VERY bad images of sex and little belief that sex could be a good thing, and almost no idea of what sensual loving sex should look like. Upon the advice of a T, she suggested several sites I look into to "see" what sex can look like. She also advise me on topics to avoid and things NOT to look into. That was some of the best advice I ever received.

Sex is not a bad thing, in fact it is a good thing, and it took soft porn to help me see that. Sorry if that all got a little off topic.
Thanks for this!

Considering the recent popularity of 50 Shades of Gray, is this really a surprise to you? If you're liking it, chances are that other people are also.

I am eternally grateful that women are becoming consumers of porn. I honestly despise the usual macho, tattooed, ugly, rude rough guy that throws a girl around, bangs her for 40 minutes non-stop like a jack-hammer and then finishes on her face without so much as a kiss; much less any kind of sensual foreplay for the lady. This kind of porn is why so many straight women enjoy lesbian porn.

The old stuff is unrealistic and confusing as hell for anyone who is not already sexually experienced. And for those of us who do have some experience, it's just ugly.

So, to answer the OP, yes, I think the industry is changing (actually booming) but i think it's growing in every direction; not just one. And I think that's a good thing because everyone can find what they want/need.

For me personally, I say hurrah for the ladies! If there is any porn that is "wholesome" and more guilt-free, what they are asking for is pretty close and it's what I like!

Amen Bighands thank you. Porn is not just a thing for the consumption of men. Us women like a little spice in the bedroom to and some love and affection as well.

I'd like to think things are getting better. Honestly, there is some good porn out there - I mean more genuine / real porn where its not about women shouting loudly and you know the gross things that go with that.

Dont want to break any rules by referring to other sites but if you search for "agony" and "beautiful" together, well lets just say its nice to see women enjoying themselves

Porn is definitely different. Before, merely showing an act of sex was what porn consisted of. Now, it has to be more extreme. There is more violence in the scenes, and it is more staged than in the past. Also, I have heard that the porn actors and actresses actually get drugged before the scenes sometimes. I'm not surprised, since most folks would likely get quite camera shy for that type of production.

Porn, changes with time because it warps our perception, it takes more explicit scenes to get me off to it, I used to be able just to get off on small stuff now it takes much more to stimulate me. That is why I switched to reading erotica and I let my mind paint the picture, instead of looking at a vid or pic.
