My wife has always openly despised my morning erections. She says that it's unfair that a man can wake up aroused and ready to go. I'm sure that he fact that she isn't a morning person and has never been up for morning sex plays a heavy role.
Although it may be a bit embarrassing sometimes, I love my morning wood. My question is simple. Do you love, hate or just... eh, this phenomenon? Please list whether you are a man or woman. Thanks! |

I'm a woman and I LOL remembering my ex-husband always being ready. I never liked his attitude and he thought it was so funny. Let me get a cup of coffee first...

Hmmm. As a woman, and one who is definitely not a morning person, I can't say I understand the whole waking up and raring to go concept. I guess if I ever spent the night with a guy again and they were being an eager beaver first thing in the AM, I'd suggest a self pleasuring session (I know it's not the same, sorry) and roll back over to wake up at my leisure.
We ladies need a few minutes to warm the old engine up. Its not like cars these days where you push the button and go on your merry way. __________________ MY BLOG IS NOW CONVENIENTLY LOCATED HERE!! [UPDATED: 4/30/2017] LIFE IS TOO SHORT, TOO VALUABLE AND TOO PRECIOUS A THING TO WASTE!! |

I am not a morning person and it has been over a decade since I have had sex but as I remember there is never a bad time for sex.

I agree with Yoda on this one. My husband sometimes wakes me up early in the morning with an erection. Even though I may adopt a more passive role in this case, making love with man I love is always ok. What better way to start the day than by physically connected with him. It gives me an emotional high that makes the day

Come to think of it, I only refused sex one time, and that was the morning after losing my virginity. I was way sore and needed time to recover. It didn't help that he was big. But I'm digressing. A morning romp between the sheets is fine if I am able to wake up and warm myself up first. __________________ MY BLOG IS NOW CONVENIENTLY LOCATED HERE!! I don't know about other guys, but my "morning wood" is not normally due to sexual arousal, but many times due to a need to urinate. However, I am one who does actually love having one of these erections. It may sound odd, but gives me an opportunity to play with, look at, inspect...my penis WITHOUT an overwhelming desire to either have sex or masturbate. I guess I can equate it to enjoying kissing your partner without the desire to "swap spit".
Don't get me wrong, there are mornings I am sexually aroused and the erection is purely a reaction to wanting sex with my wife. |

Morning erections are rarely because of arousal. Oddly, the arousal follows after the erection.
After some research, this Nocturnal Penile Tumescence (NPT) is most likely our body's ways of exercising and maintaining the neural and arterial system that allows erections to happen. they are linked to REM cycles and happen 2-3 times a night. My wife can attest to that. I've woken up in the middle of the night to her poking, giggling and shaking her head at the tent in the bed sheets! She would always ask, "What are you dreaming about?" and I would honestly answer "Nothing. Really". Of course, I'd add, "Well, now that you woke me up...". She'd just shake her head, roll over and go back to sleep. Cruel. Haha. Others say that it's just nature's way of encouraging procreation. But I don't buy that at all. If nature had really wanted that, they would have had women wake up wet and engorged. Because, as we all know, what momma wants, momma gets. If the tables were turned, what man would say "No" to that, like women usually do?!?! |

Woman here, what kind of person I am depends solely on the morning and my bipolar, but you can ask my bf, there's definitely never a bad time for sex!
Morning wood equals awesomeness, I read somewhere that its almost like penile sit ups that the body performs while sleeping __________________ DXD BP1, BPD & OCPD "The best way to make it through with hearts and wrists in tact, is to realise, two out of three aint bad" FOB... |

Women have increased bloodflow during sleeping as well.

It's just the body's way of making sure all systems are go, as far as erections are concerned.
