I wonder why they got rid of sadistic personality type in the DSM.
I think that it can be distinct from a sexual sadist. I btw, am not a sadist. I dated one. Thoughts? |

I didn't know it was a personality type. Interesting.
I am with a sadist. Sometimes he can be cruel & sometimes sensual. Funny how it fluctuates. But as a masochist I go right along with it. Guess it's a good match lol. __________________ "Doubt is like dye. Once it spreads into the fabric of excuses you've woven, you'll never get rid of the stain." Jodi Picoult |

I don't accept any mental manipulation from sadism. That is the problem we had. I am not a masochist. I did it out of love. It is not my preference.

I don't go for mental manipulation either. That's where I draw a line esp w/ all my issues. But the pain I receive from this sadistic part of him is beautiful & for some reason, beyond what I can understand, if makes me bloom like a flower. I guess I'm just wired differently. I wish I had known this when I was younger.
