I have been chatting with someone for quite awhile. I'm a straight female and I was led to believe he is a straight male. We are both in our 30s.
I am starting to question his orientation now though. First of all, he denies ever having any sexual experience with a man, but he says he is "Not against it." He even says when he is bored with women he will probably try it. Also from what I know about him, he has some sexual issues. Even though he has only had sex with women, he uses prostitutes a lot and has trouble having orgasms during regular sex. He has never been married, never had a real girlfriend. In fact he seems deeply misogynistic and distrustful of women. I find it strange a straight male would be so "open" to homosexual experiences. Even though he hasn't had one, he's obviously open to the idea. Is it possible he is actually gay but just hasn't let himself be gay? |

Anything is possible but I think more people fall on a spectrum with their sexual orientation and very few are all 100% straight or gay.

I think that if he were gay and claiming to be hetro, he would be in full denial of any homosexuality. He would not generally say he was open to same gender sex. There could be many things going on. But for now he does identify as hetro....so IMO him stating that he would be open to sleeping w/ men is more saying he is open to exploration/ interested in experimenting with more than just "vanilla" sex.

I would be interested to know the source(s) of his seeming misogyny.

I had a sexual relationship with a guy whom I was sure was bi. I was the other women as he was engaged and planning his wedding during our sexual relationship ( please don't get hung up on this aspect ) and he was living in his one bed apartment with another bloke whom was gay. But there was only one bed and on many occasions I left him asleep naked in his roommates bed with the roommate due home at any moment. He also insisted that he got first go on a new sex toy. I teased him throughout our 3 yr fling that he was greedy having a fiancee, a mistress and a boyfriend. He told me he was just friends with his roommate but there were things he would say that had me wondering, he also didn't rule out having sex with a man at some stage in his life, although claimed he hadn't tried it. But he's now settled down with one woman and has kids, so perhaps he found what he was looking for.
