How did he let himself rape her even though he knew she was raped and had nightmares about it himself? I don't get it.

Hello mindmadness: I'm sorry... but from my perspective there is so much insanity & delusion in this world it is simply beyond the capacity of the human mind to contemplate it all.
 Better not to try...  The best each of us can do it to make the best person of ourselves we can now & beyond...

OP, what are you going on about? Link? What link? I think you might want to contact your T and discuss this with them if whatever happened is bother you this much.

Eh, he's obviously unwell mentally. He has issues with respecting women, which probably stems back from his relationship with his own mother, or lack thereof. That's, of course, only one of many existent causes that turn males into rapists.
Of course, the real question is why does this affect you so deeply. It's disturbing, sure, but you seem to be more deeply affected than, say, me. Maybe you can consult a T to help you work through this.

That's my problem. I've always been upset by things I read online where people who have a conscience still manage to do bad things. Also I have no sense of proportion. Whether it's rape, adultery, or someone lying about their age, it bothers me.
