So, I've never really got the whole third gender thing.
It might just be because I can't imagine something like that - two gender identities (eg. masculinity) makes for two genders, as far as I know. BUT. That said, this is what I class as types of gender: * male * female * a mix of male and female (whether it's equal or, say, 75% male and 25% female) * a mix of male and female where one gender may be more dominant at one time, either dependent on environment, or at random * neither male or female These in their selves could then have the gender identity masculine, feminine, both, both (at different times), or neither, and so on. So... Yeah. I just can't comprehend anything more than that, but I keep hearing that there's genders that are reliant on music and reliant on nature. God knows what that means... All I can think of is people who want to be a different species - but species isn't gender. Any help? I'd love to hear some stories about people's gender, whether it's one of the ones I listed above or one that isn't at all that common (and can hopefully explain it). Cheers! ![]() NB: transgender isn't on the list 'cause I don't see it as different from a normal man/woman/genderqueer, since we aren't looking at their genitals. |

Hello PanPiper: Well... I'll defer on suggesting possible explanations regarding your questions. Perhaps other members will want to weigh in. Our purpose here on PC is primarily to support one another (as individuals who have mental health concerns) as well as to share information & experiences. So I guess one question "back at you", so to speak, is if there is some personal concern with regard to this or if it's just curiosity. You don't say in your post. Anyway... I see this is your first post here on PC. So...
