We are a lesbian couple and my wife wants to start having sex again. We have been together for 19 years. Last time we had sex I don’t remember because I was having issues with depression. She says it was about 4 years ago. Just thinking about sex embarrasses me. I talked about it for only the second time today in therapy. My T said yes without hesitation that we should have sex. I was just so embarrassed that I had trouble talking. How can I get more comfortable with this subject?

LDB is a common thing in lesbian relationships. Me and my wife went through it for a little while (a few years) and eventually we got back into it again, the sex is great now (having it a few times a wk if not every day). There are/is some things I'm embarrassed about in regards to the bedroom, but I'm slowly forcing myself to address them and it has made our sex like better, but it's still a work in progress. What about sex embarrasses you?

I suggest that you look into non sexual touch. There are online videos about this concept. Nonsexual touch, as a goal in itself, might in time lead to sexual touch, but in the interim it can be satisfying in itself and can help reestablish comfort with physical intimacy.
