I don’t think it’s selfish to lookout for your own mental well-being. I feel like if you come forth about your past trauma with her she would be more understanding.

The thing is that she knows I don't like discussing my own kinks because of my trauma but she thinks it's only related to my own kinks, not everyone else's. I might have to tell her that's just how I feel in general. I want to be there for her as a friend, but this event made me realize that discussing her kinks is a bit too much for me. In return, I won't talk too much about my other issues as I feel it's only fair to balance things out. Thank you for responding without judgment.

Thanks a lot for understanding. I appreciate it. The thing is that she actually DOES know about my past trauma. It's my fault because I said she can come to me to talk about it since she said she has no one to talk to. But she has her friends and significant other and therapist. I should have set boundaries early on.
