My husband has a small pea size lump on the back side of his penis. It feels hard like there is a little pebble inside. Have any one else experienced this. My husband has numerous other medical issues. He is also having troble with maintaining an erection. Is this related to the lump. I told him to tell the doctor but he is afraid to say anything. Thanks

make him get to a dr. also try to google it to see what it might be but please do not use that as a diagnosis.

Yes, I would say that the lump and loss of erection might be one of the symptoms of the medical problem your husband is having and I second what Bebop said: He needs to see a doctor.
And please let your husband know that he does not need to be afraid or ashamed to talk to his doctor about these kind of issues for that is what his doctor is there for - and as a doctor he has seen and heard it all....... I make sure my husband goes in once a year for a yearly physical & blood work (as do I). |

I agree with the two above comments, only I do not believe that the problems are related. The lump sounds like something more serious going on. You might want to take him to a Urologist....they handle male things. He may or may not need a biopsy to see what that lump is exactly. Make sure he DOES go as soon as possible. The danger is in not getting it diagnosed immediately. |

It's probably just a cyst. On the penis itself they are somewhat rare, usually around all one's life (one is born with them) but they don't show up until later. My husband had one on his scrotum he had for awhile and which he had removed (for me :-) when we got married. Those are more common. Tell him to tell his doctor or you will? If he's got other medical problems, they (or meds) are probably responsible for the erection problems.

That's all I was trying to say. I don't know the extent of his problem , I just think it sounds more serious than he is taking it!! I haven't heard of cysts on mens' penises, but then, why would I? I don't make it a habit of looking that closely at them!!! I wouldn't know as my husband doesn't look either. That's men though. From the start they are taught they don't look at their bodies, that it's some form of deviant behavior. To their dismay, lots of men are now DEAD because of that. Vanity will kill you if you let it!!! |

I normally don't encourage people to go to the doctors because personally I am terrified of them and not everybody is insured or can afford to go....but in this case I definitely say GO to the doctors. This can be very serious or it can be minor, but I wouldn't sit around waiting for the answer on this one. Please tell him to go and accompany him if you have to for support. I hope everything is alright.

Yup, I agree, doctor time. Odds are, it's nothing. But if it's something, time is a factor.

my ex had the same troubles that youre talking about. he went to a urologist and had an ultrasound and it turned out to be nothing. how old is he? typically once a man hits age 30 he is out of the woods when it comes to things like testicular cancer. the prime age for that is between 15-30 (usually late teens to early 20's). but still go to a doctor just to clear your own mind. and if it is a benign cyst but it is still effecting his ability to maintain an erection, it could be as simple as freezing or cutting it off. (i know it sounds fine to me because i dont have a penis lol)
