But I want to wear kids underwear with like dinosaurs, superheroes, and space themes on them. Just because I like the idea of feeling like a little kid and I find them calming. Is this kind of strange? I mean I know it’s unusual but is there anything wrong with it? I know some dudes like to wear women’s underwear just because it’s a thing for them. I do other things but I can’t do them outside the house. These I can wear outside the house. I do like to wear Goodnites too sometimes and I can wear those out of the house although I’m self conscious someone will notice.
I had a trans cleaning lady at our old house who wore a maids outfit. Called herself maid and then her name after that instead of just a cleaning lady. That was a bit creepy to be honest. If she’s into that stuff cool but maybe don’t do it when your working in other peoples houses. My mom said it was just her thing and didn’t seem bothered by it. __________________ I'm Blue Last edited by Mountaindewed; Jul 18, 2021 at 08:07 AM.. |

honestly, if I had some kids clothes in the house, I probably would, too- and for the reasons you described. it makes you feel like a kid again
and honestly I would love to feel like a kid again. I posted in another thread yesterday, that I didn't give up my pasifier until I was 7 (but even that was a real struggle) I'm not entirely sure I'd have one now (triggers and such), but other stuff sure what else do you do?. just curious |

I drink out of a bottle. It’s an adult size one but it has monsters on it. I do use a pacifier. I have 3 actually. They are adult size ones that I found on Amazon. Sometimes I wear diapers when I’m super stressed and I just need to relax and rewind. I have a black adult size onesie I wear over them. I only use these things at night although if I’m home alone I may drink out of the bottle during the day.
Sometimes at night when I am super stressed I just need to get into my space with these things and rewind. One of my therapists knew and she was completely accepting. My mom doesn’t know anything at least she’s not saying anything if she does know. I keep everything hidden in the bottom 2 drawers of my dresser that is in my walk in closet. I have hardwood floors so she doesn’t need to vacuum so she doesn’t really need to be in there at all. I did mention having some private things that I am discussing in therapy and I’d like her to respect my privacy. And she said “yeah sure.” So there hasn’t been an issue. I have almost gotten caught a number of times though. __________________ I'm Blue |

I honestly think I’m becoming dependent on my bottle. I’ve been drinking out of it every night since I’ve been home and then I want to use it during the day but I can’t because people are around. Last night I slept with it. It had water in it and I drank half of it and then I put it next to me and I finished it this morning. It’s a sensory relief item. It helps a lot with my anxiety.

I don't think there's anything strange, or weird, about wearing kids underwear. Quite a few years ago, now, I used to have silk boxer shorts some of which had cartoon characters on them. I loved them. As I recall, I bought most if not all of them at Target. I don't think Target sells anything like that anymore. (I don't get there much though.) If I could have adult-sized bottles & pacifiers I probably would. As it is I have to content myself with my teddy bear.

I suppose that's a plus to me living alone. no one can see that I'm using the bottle. if I didn't have it, I honestly wouldn't have many alternatives either I have a mug with santa claus on it, one with some race cars, and one with jane austen on it I don't buy many because I just like the bottle. actually, I just had to buy a new bottle. old one had a leak in it.. |

I told my therapist today. I started off by saying “this is weird but you know how people with autism have oral fixations? Well I like to chew and suck on things” then I mentioned that I drink out of a bottle and she said “like a baby bottle?” And I said “yeah.” Then I said that I also use a pacifier and that these things really help. She was accepting. Well at least I think she was. She didn’t show any judgement. She asked if I felt ok with myself for using them. And I said yeah but I feel like I’m starting to get dependent on them. She asked if I used them every night. And I said I don’t use the pacifier every night but I use the bottle every night. She asked what I drank out of it and I said water but that one time I tried milk and it didn’t really work out. She asked where I got the pacifier from because she’s heard of adult size ones but didn’t know where you get them from. I told her I got them from Amazon and she said “oh. You can get everything from Amazon.” I mentioned not wanting my mom to know. She asked why and I said “it’s just a personal thing” I said I had to clean it out every morning in the bathroom with hand soap and then dry it with paper towels all while my mom was in the shower and I had about 10 minutes to do it. She said that’s a lot of work. Not sure what she meant by that. It’s very easy to clean mine.
She mentioned to just be aware of my teeth and I said that yeah that was a concern of mine but I use really good toothpaste and mouth wash. I didn’t tell her about any of the stuff I wear. I’m not sure how she’d respond to that. Although she seems to be aware of the community. At least that’s what I got from our conversation. But the non sensory stuff is very personal and my old old therapist knew but it was because I really trusted her and it still took about a year to tell her and I had to tell her in email. I may tell her I wear goodnites since those are sensory related too. But last night I slept with my pacifier for the first time in awhile and except for 45 minutes at midnight I slept a long time with it and it helped me sleep. I woke up later then I normally do because of it. __________________ I'm Blue Last edited by Mountaindewed; Jul 26, 2021 at 03:20 PM.. |

I can see why they have adult size pacifiers. I ordered some ones for 18-36 month olds and they are so small. I can almost fit the whole thing in my mouth. I for sure would not sleep with a baby one. Although it’s good for during the day. I also got 3 new sippy cup like bottles. One has Mickey Mouse on it, one has Cookie Monster, and the other is blue with musical instruments. I haven’t tried them out yet but I’m about to.

The cups are good. But I put Pepsi blue into mine this morning. And that didn’t go well. I don’t drink too much regular soda anymore. So it was just too much carbonation and flavor to drink it that way. Water is the best. I tried drinking milk out of one of them early this year but I had to throw it out because the top got moldy. I just clean mine by putting hand soap in it and then rinsing it with very hot water and then drying it with Kleenex or paper towels. I haven’t had any issue.
I think my mom saw one of my pacifiers on the floor of my bedroom one time at my old house. But she didn’t say anything. I mean, she could very well know about all this stuff and is just respecting my privacy. She pays my bills out of own money but I buy this stuff about every other month so I don’t rack up huge bills. She’s never said anything about any of my charges. I don’t think she even glances at the charges. Plus most of them are either from Amazon or are discreet. I have my own amazon account which she can’t access. __________________ I'm Blue |

I’ve been drinking a lot of bottles as a response to my severe stress. Sometimes 3 a night. All this water is just affecting my hunger and I’m pretty sure I’m dependent on them since I literally need them every night and throughout the night. I only told my therapist that one time. I’ve been nervous about bringing it up again. Some people go to food or to their animals when they are overwhelmed. I drink out of baby bottles.
I can fit pretty good into Goodnites size XL now. The new ones go up to 140 pounds but I have a small waist. Actually when I put one on the other night I was amazed at how much they fit me like regular underwear. But I worry someone may notice. But if I have a hoodie on they probably wouldn’t notice. I know when it gets colder out I can wear baggy sweaters so I can wear my weighted vest under my clothes as well. __________________ I'm Blue Last edited by Mountaindewed; Aug 18, 2021 at 06:10 PM.. |

My teeth have been hurting a bit. I told my therapist and she suggested I use a sports bottle with a lid that pops up and down when you press snd pull it instead of a baby bottle. It was actually a pretty good suggestion. It still works the same. I can drink it the same way and I don’t have to hide it. I feel like I drink more water with the baby bottle and not using it is starting to affect me physically I feel. But I need to save my teeth too.

I suggest you be completely honest with your therapist and tell her about the wanting to wear kids underwear.
